Description
At SMS Equipment, our Warranty Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support related to warranty and service functions. The successful candidate will support warranty claims, compile technical documentation, and ensure warranty certifications meet Komatsu specified requirements. This role is in Fort McMurray, AB.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Ensure appropriate data, information, and documentation through to completion of the work.
• Review credit notes from manufacture to ensure all items claimed have been approved and paid in full.
• Ensure claims are accurate and complete.
• Ensure all claim deadlines are met.
• Ensure the proper coding and information is attached to the warranty claims.
• Check work order folder and required physical documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure that the warranty claims are entered through the appropriate manufacturer’s system.
• Identify if classification of work order is warranty, cost of repair, RAMP or combination thereof.
• Ensure all items are charged and back orders are identified.
• Verification of equipment warranties to supply warranty status to customer in order to determine if charges will be invoiced.
• Ensure constant communication with the customer’s representative to ensure proper documentation is complete for both parties and obtain appropriate approvals and notification of this to our service department.
• Report weekly on outstanding claims to Supervisor, RAMP & Warranty

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience in a field service environment. At least 2 years of warranty analysis or fleet management experience is desirable. Other requirements include:

• Clear understanding of work order flow and processing within an ERP system is required as well as the ability to understanding basic mechanical systems.
• Previous dealership experience is an asset.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to work with multiple database systems.
• Must be able to obtain the Komatsu Claim Administrator Certification
• Process minded with strong analytical skills.
• Office experience in a mining industrial environment is preferred.
