Now hiring a Warehouse Leadhand for the Afternoon shift for one of Canada's Best Managed Companies!

THE ROLE:

You are a dedicated individual who thrives in a physically demanding and challenging role. You approach what you do with a clear understanding of the direct impact on the business and work extensively to take a safe and supportive approach to deliver the best possible results to our customers.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

• A willingness to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding job processes and concerns;
• Operating an end-rider, reach truck, lift truck, and tow motor;
• Order selecting in all climates (dry, coolers, freezers);
• Must demonstrate adherence to all HACCP and Food Handling practices;
• Trained and efficient in other warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, truck unloading, handling returns & customer pickups, restocking & inventory control; Sysco picking and verifying counts
• Safekeeping of company equipment and product, maintaining the safety of yourself and those around you;
• Housekeeping & recycling, minor maintenance;
• Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding a solution;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Team player skills with demonstrated abilities to interact well with all levels of associates and a proven ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive manner;
• Experience in a warehouse environment, WHMIS, food safety, back care, and end-rider is a must;
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written);
• Must have a flexible schedule and be open to working weekends and statutory holidays.
• Be physically fit to lift heavy products consistently (up to 40 kg) and enjoy an active career;
• Demonstrate knowledge of current or ongoing customer requirements, or new client setup in order to meet customer expectations;
