Vaccine Clerk - Data Lead (Tft) (Nu 51.23)

Basic Function:

The Vaccine Clerk - Data Lead provides technical support to the Haldimand-Norfolk COVID-19 vaccine team for all items related to the central data repository, known as COVaxON, for COVID-19 vaccine data and reporting. In addition, the position may be required to provide operational support to other health unit programs with respect to data and reporting.

Position Description:

• Runs database reports, as required.
• Attends immunization clinics, is available to perform all functions in COVaxON and supports team members completing data entry.
• Maintains vaccine inventory as per relevant guidelines and troubleshoots inventory discrepancies.
• Provide additional operational support to other health unit programs, as required.
• Enters personal health information into COVaxON and any other database as required.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned and identified by the Program Manager, Infectious Diseases

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in business/administration considered an asset
• One year related work experience
• High school grade 12 graduation

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends in both Haldimand and Norfolk Counties
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time
• Ability to deal with the public courteously and effectively
• Must be aware of safe work practices as they relate to job responsibilities and work environment and have the basic understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ability to use web-based applications and technologies, such as touch screen tablets, to enter client information accurately
• Strong computer skills with the ability to use software such as Microsoft Excel, web-based applications and program databases
• Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
• Experience using COVaxON will be considered an asset
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as a team member
• Familiar with navigating a database and creating/running reports.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
