About the role

AsUX/UI Leadyou’ll support the engineering team to bring to life our vision of transforming the way businesses access financing and manage loans.

In this role you’ll work closely with our Co-founders (CTO & CEO), Engineering, Sales, Partnerships and Marketing teams to discover and scope the best UX/UI for Levr.ai platform users. You’ll own user research, lean experimentation of new designs and improve the user journey.

This is a contracted remote-first position, with a preference for candidates based in the PST, MST, CST or EST time zones. Our team values relationships & human experiences, and often meet for team building events and necessary critical business meetings. We currently have team members in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada as well as in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Be the lead that strikes a balance between MVP and long-term product creation for timely product feedback loops to recognize and iterate continuous value-delivery and use this learning to refine Levr.ai’s long-term product roadmap
• Ability to design lean solutions quickly and efficiently, to validate early directional ideas and drive alignment across all teams
• Working with cross-functional teams (co-founders, engineering developers, fellow designers, sales, partnerships and marketing) to drive design vision and strategy that meets the needs of Levr.ai users, and lead the evolution of the Levr.ai platform
• Running design thinking team brainstorming sessions and helping to guide, improve, and implement design and feedback processes from both Levr.ai users and cross-functional teams
• Leveraging strategic thinking to visualize ideas and concepts and communicate them effectively for engineering developers to implement with ease
• Work closely with engineering or leverage implement tools (i.e. Hot Jar, Optimizely or the like) to track lift and progress of designs to achieve UX/UI goals and contribution to KPIs
• Build strong team relationships for alignment on designs for ideal outcomes
• Experience with interpreting experiments or tests and leveraging quantitative data to inform product and design decisions, and the product roadmap

Who you are

Qualifications

• The ability to craft beautiful designs and delightful, useful, and usable experiences; you have strengths in visual design, interaction, and product design
• Excellent communication skills; making sure the Levr.ai team understands fully the “why” behind your design rationale/choices
• Deep experience with driving and applying user-centric design processes while bringing along cross-functional teams to learn, understand your vision and do their part for required implementation
• Located and legally authorized to work in Canada
• Proficient in product design tools such as Figma, InVision, Balsamiq, Principal, Adobe, Framer
• Experience creating, contributing and iterating on product roadmaps in partnership with engineering and marketing using tools like Slack, Mirror, Github, Jira, Confluence, Productboard or the like.
• As this is a remote-first and client facing role, ideal candidate will be able to accommodate having numerous distraction free interactions via access with high-speed internet, and phone connectivity (landline, mobile or VOIP)
• Experience working with design systems
• Expert knowledge of the end to end iterative product design process, demonstrating a command of product strategy, prioritizing the jobs to be done for Levr.ai platform users and future vision, journey mapping, wire-framing and prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity visuals

Note:All candidates must submit a portfolio of work or work samples to be considered for this role. Or be able to visually demonstrate previous projects and impact.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment wearing multiple hats and leading initiatives
• Knowledge or interest in designing marketplaces and forms for collecting financial information
• Knowledge of fintech or demonstrated curiosity around the finance industry
