Ui/Ux Designer (Freelance)

HyperPop is a new marketing and creative agency based in Vancouver. Our core services are strategy, creative & branding, experience design, and marketing. While it’s early in our journey, our flexible and human-centred approach to clients and team members seems to be a hit - from just an idea in late February 2022, our enthusiastic duo quickly grew into a team of 12, and now we’re hungry for more! We’re learning, growing, celebrating, and having fun, and we want to find the next gem to join our crew.

To aid in serving our growing number of clients and campaigns, we are looking for a project-based freelance UI/UX Designer. You will be reporting directly to our Design Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Communicates and reviews design documentation with developers and other stakeholders, gathering feedback and iterating upon design.
• Ensures responsive design quality and cohesion across multiple devices.
• Delivers end-to-end detailed design deliverables as a series of user flows, storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity web designs.
• Demonstrates innovative thinking when creating design concepts and strives towards more engaging customer experiences and interactions.
• Conducts user research, gathers feedback, and analyzes user data to inform and iterate your design decisions.
• Coordinates and integrates the work of visual designers for a seamless and unified experience that is aligned with the client's brand.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to define UX requirements that truly understand our customers and customers’ goals and needs.
• Contributes to the existing design system.
• Stays up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in UI/UX design.

Job Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in a relevant subject.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Availability for project-based work and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
• Skilled in using Figma and Adobe creative suite or equivalent tools.
• Familiarity with user research techniques and usability testing.
• Minimum 3-year experience in UX or product design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development.
• Experience designing for e-commerce, SaaS, or digital marketing campaigns.
• Experience with animation and motion design.
