About The Role
Willowglen Systems is looking for a Training & Organizational Development Specialist to enhance the competencies of the internal and external end-user by designing and conducting training programs, manuals, guides, exercises, FAQ videos, and other supporting documents. You will get the flexibility to design and organize training materials by combining creativity, research and analysis of existing documents. You will have a chance to collaborate to cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver training programs.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and quick learner who can hit the ground running. This job is a perfect fit if you enjoy working with people, presenting helpful information and using your creativity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify training needs by evaluating the existing programs
  • Develop and deliver training programs to internal employees and external clients
  • Conduct Train-the Trainer sessions to help internal trainers deliver programs effectively
  • Provide support to employees and clients with training-related questions and issues
  • Create a well-articulated learning materials and key concepts
  • Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions on company policies, procedures and systems
  • Reports to the Associate Manager, Support Services
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in employee development
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes and clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Assess training data and evaluate programs effectiveness through assessment, surveys, and feedback
  • Travel as required to conduct training courses
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, HR, Business Management, Computer Science, or related field
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development, testing, or support.
  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
  • Familiarity with different teaching methods and materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teaching abilities and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related program software
  • Must legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to Have
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a Learning Management System
  • Experience in any of the following industries: electrical, oil & gas, pipelines, water & water, and metro rail (LRTs)
  • Good understanding of SCADA systems
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) or similar certification
  • Knowledgeable with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
  • Adept in a variety of multimedia design and video editing software
