Training Lead

Full-time

The Training Lead is primarily responsible for the planning, execution and management of a company wide technology transformation’s training program. At the conclusion of the program, this role will move into the Learning & Development team where they will continue to support ongoing business learning needs.

The Training Lead will work with key stakeholders to conduct a training needs analysis and manage the training material development cycle. The training lead will play a key role in the overall success of this transformation by determining and supporting the best training approach for each impacted audience per initiative. This role also manages Train the Trainer & End User Training logistics, planning and execution. In addition, it is the Training Lead’s responsibility to track all deliverables as indicated on the training plan and manage/escalate all issues.

How You’ll Help

  • Assists with the identification of stakeholders and end users to ensure all required individuals will be trained in the appropriate areas per functional group
  • Ensure Business Owner of training materials post Go-Live is identified and proper handoff is completed
  • Assists with the development of leadership action plan as it relates to training
  • Assists with the coordination of training material translation process with an external vendor
  • Assists in the selection of trainers, and helping with the transition from Super User to Trainer
  • Ensures existing documentation and relevant business scenarios (e.g. process flows) are leveraged in the development of training material
  • Collaborates with the communication specialist to create and release all training related communications
  • Responsible for End User Training logistics including scheduling participants, tracking attendance, and addressing training related issues with support from a training logistics team.
  • Oversees the training material development lifecycle, including managing deadlines and quality.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in developing training schedules
  • Experience in a project environment
  • Exposure to LMS systems
  • Strong Communications Skills, written & verbal
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Adult Learning training or certification is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience designing and deploying (end to end) training programs
  • Organized with the ability to support team members and multiple stakeholders
  • English required. French will be considered an asset
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in Training, Learning & Development and/or managing training programs
