Salary Range:

$48,000 - $72,000

Role:

The Test Analyst is responsible for testing the quality of applications to ensure they are consistent with system requirements.

Work Type:

• Office Location: Newmarket
• Hybrid (Low frequency in-office)

Responsibilities and Skills:

• MS Office skills
• Participate in department projects and initiatives.
• Analyze previous issues and log defects for any concerns found in the application.
• Prepare and document all test results and upload in appropriate test run management tool.
• Time management and organization skills to meet tight timelines
• Develop test cases and test scripts based on requirements and document release notes.
• Execute test scripts to test the functionality of applications.
• Advanced technical aptitude and the ability to learn new applications quickly
• Analyze system requirements to determine requirements for test cases.
• Report bugs and errors to project teams and document in tracking systems.

Knowledge:

• Intermediate knowledge of the testing phase of the software development lifecycle
• Basic knowledge of AMI components and functions

Education:

• Previous experience in a utility environment testing various metering systems (AMI, MDM, CIS and auxiliary systems)
• Undergraduate degree/diploma in Computer Science or Software Development
