Our client, in Canada is looking to hire "Test Lead" to join their team.


Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced API Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an API Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for API testing. You will collaborate closely with our development and quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the API testing process through innovative ideas and approaches.
  • Work with the development team to ensure APIs are designed with testability in mind.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure proper test coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the software.
  • Execute test scripts and analyze test results to identify and report software defects and issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in API testing and test automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test automation frameworks.
  • Work closely with developers and quality assurance team members to reproduce and debug issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop test plans.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle.


What you need to Succeed:

  • Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for API testing.
  • Candidate must have basic SQL understanding.
  • Willing to work flexible timing to accommodate morning US EST
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Need a lead (possibly 9/10 years of experience) with strong API automation (REST) experience
  • Experience in Agile process.
  • Strong understanding of API testing concepts and methodologies.
