Reporting to the Senior Director the QA/QC Coordinator – Civil, plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. In addition, the successful candidate will; plan, coordinate, and direct the quality control program to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established Bird standards.
What You Will Be Working On
Quality Control

• Monitor the implementation of quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and document non-conformities, defects, and areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering codes, and Bird standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and facilitate timely resolutions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures, methodologies, and standards for civil engineering projects.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bird best practices.
• Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance program for civil engineering projects.
• Define quality assurance objectives, metrics, and performance indicators to assess project progress and effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills among team members.
• Conduct internal audits and reviews to evaluate adherence to quality standards, processes, and procedures.

Documentation And Reporting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance quality-related documentation, including inspection checklists, test protocols, and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare detailed quality control and quality assurance reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Generate and analyze statistical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, inspection results, and non-conformities.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality control and quality assurance within the civil engineering field.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools, statistical analysis software, and MS Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO) and relevant quality assurance methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to lead and influence others, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards.
