Job Summary
The Technical Sales Specialist will be working at our offices in Burnaby and will be responsible for managing the technical sales process. This includes customer qualification, responding to inbound requests, evaluating the customer’s technical needs, and recommending appropriate technical solutions. The Technical Sales Specialist also must be able to lead product demonstrations with customers via online and face to face meetings.
As a core part of our value proposition is our technical expertise, the candidate should be able to provide reliable technical advice on how to use our products to solve different computer vision problems.
Responsibilities
- Be able to use and demonstrate scanner products and supporting software
- Identify sales opportunities with existing and new customers
- Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
- Collaborate with the marketing and engineering teams to create marketing, sales and other technical collateral in order to support the sales process.
- Drive sales volume goals across multiple product lines and regions
- Build and manage long term customer relationships
- Constantly upgrade and maintain product and application knowledge
- Represent Polyga at tradeshows and other professional events
- Develop strategic key accounts for specific markets/applications
- Adhere to our standards of CRM management, documentation, sales cycle management
- Provide post sales support to ensure customer success
- Maintain strategic solution customer relations through an excellent attitude, strong technical knowledge, and efficient work practices
- Supplement Sales Development with your own prospecting activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent training and experience
- Minimum of 1 years sales or business development manager experience doing engineering sales to end users, B2B, or OEMs.
- Business travel is required, and the candidate must be able to travel to the US for meetings for tradeshows.
- The candidate must have a technical background or work experience
