Job Overview:

Role: Technical Advisor

Location: Liberty Village, Downtown Toronto

Working Structure: Permanent Full Time, 4-5 days per week in office for the first 3 months of onboarding into the role

Salary: $100,000-$110,000 base + bonus + benefits

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Technical Advisor to join their team located in Downtown, Toronto.

As a Technical Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert guidance and support clients and their technical projects. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to advise on various technical aspects of our products, services they provide.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements. Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert technical advice and guidance to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on a wide range of technical matters related to our products, services, and projects.
2. Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices and advise on their potential impact and relevance to the organization.
3. Assess and analyze technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions to meet business objectives.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and sales, to ensure alignment on technical strategies and initiatives.
5. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support the development of technical recommendations, reports, and presentations.
6. Act as a technical liaison between the organization and external partners, vendors, and clients, providing technical guidance and resolving any technical issues or challenges.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of technical training programs and materials for internal teams and clients.
8. Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences to represent the organization and provide technical expertise.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes, methodologies, and documentation.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry certifications and credentials to maintain a high level of technical expertise.

Requirements:

1. 5-7 years experience as a Technical Advisor working in a client facing environment
2. Proven work experience as a Technical Advisor, Technical Consultant, or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of various technologies, including but not limited to software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and data analytics.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
9. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, providing technical support or consulting services, is a plus.
10. Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are highly desirable.
