About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Patient Flow Manager CZ and working with minimal supervision, the Team Lead works closely with other Patient Flow Managers and C3 staff in particular the Transfer Liaison and Bed Allocators. The Team Lead is responsible for daily coordination and effective operation of the C3 clerical staff. They have the responsibility of organizing orientation for new staff, their training schedules, and conducting follow-ups to ensure all new staff have completed any required training. The Team Lead will oversee the department’s daily workload and set out necessary guidelines to be followed when short staffed.
The Team Lead will assist the Patient Flow Managers with daily smoothing of staff when the inpatient units have vacancies that are unable to be filled by SRC. The Team Lead will support the role of Transfer Liaison and Bed Allocators in the C3 office. The Team Lead participates in committees, interviews, and selection process for prospective administrative staff in C3. The Team Lead is the support resource for C3 administrative staff and interacts with various departments as needed (i.e., IT, ED, EHS, Inpatient floors, various hospitals, clinics, etc.). Must have advanced knowledge of NSH applications, with ample proficiency in STAR, EDIS and C3 tiles.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Advanced knowledge of STAR Registration Program, Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), and Pathway Health Scheduling (PHS) programs
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• Three (3) years previous related job experience required
• Problem solving skills
• Knowledge of how C3 works and its interaction with outside departments
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
• Medical terminology an asset
• Customer service skills
• Grade 12 Diploma plus completion of a o ne-year post-secondary medical office assistant program or equivalent program required

Compensation and Incentives
$24.96 - $27.61 Hourly
