Job Description
Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Distribution Center Manager to work directly for our client located in Waterloo, ON. Get your foot in the door with this client, who values growth for its employees and fosters friendly and family oriented work culture.


Location: Cambridge, ON


Required Availability: Monday-Friday


Job type: Full-time | Permanent


Duties and Responsibilities: Distribution Center Manager


  • Maintain accurate stock records and schedules using ERP system
  • Arrange for regular inspection and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ordered inventory is accurate while maintaining good working relationships.
  • Plan and implement new technologies, location and barcoding systems to optimize personnel efficiency.
  • Ensure warehouse safety by eliminating potential hazards, promoting awareness, and practicing safe lifting techniques.
  • Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees and drivers to assist in problem resolution.
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Assist in warehouse operations, as necessary
  • Oversee receiving, order fulfillment, packing, shipping, and warehouse personnel management.
  • Receiving shipments into system


Requirements and Qualifications: Distribution Center Manager


  • Management experience and personality that believes in supporting a positive, collaborative work culture
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3-8+ years of previous warehouse and distribution centre leadership, supervision or management experience
  • Hands on experience with Warehouse Management and ERP systems
  • Leadership oriented personality that looks for opportunities to lead and help develop employees
