Supply chain management experience in distribution or warehousing

Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a manager capacity preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Require 2+ years prior management experience

Solve shipping and receiving issues in a timely manner. Report to management on activities and issues.

Manage all aspects of the corporate Health and Safety process including inspections, meetings, certifications, and corrective actions.

Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.

Manage the daily scheduling resource planning and performance of an assembly department

Previous receiving experience or related experience in logistics companies

Proficient with PC standard tools and knowledgeable in a Windows environment with an emphasis on Word and Excel

3+ years Inventory Management Software experience

Demonstrated success in leadership, prioritizing and time-management

Manage and monitor all activities of Inventory control and maintenance

Reports to the Operations Manager and provides regular location updates.

Acquires and maintains information on distribution industry changes to remain knowledgeable of the most current distribution methods available.

Work with an order management system to correctly pick customer orders;

Attentive to details with strong organizational skills;

Day shift (Monday through Friday) 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Inventory receiving, sorting and counting in preparation of “Put Away” task;

Inventory spot checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy;

Organize distribution and packing of merchandise for online orders;

Preference will be given to candidates with project management experience; ideally site start-up experience.

Strong analytical skills, experience with WMS and Excel.

Must have experience overseeing a complex distribution operation, preference for big, bulky merchandise (furniture, appliances, etc)

Must be a motivated team builder; coach and mentor.

Bachelor's degree in Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or an equivalent combination of studies and experience;

Evaluate and ensure the operational productivity of his team and participate in performance management;

Participate in the definition and communication of overall performance objectives to the Distribution Management Team (supervisors and team leaders);

Manage the staff of the teams assigned to him (recruitment, leave, rest, on-call duty, professional interview, assessment interview);

Replace the Distribution Manager when necessary.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position;

Fulfill roles and responsibilities of absent employees as needed including DC manager

Special projects as assigned by management

Must be able to pass certification of training on warehouse equipment where applicable (ie: fork truck, wave picker, pallet jack, etc)

Minimum of 3 years prior supervisory experience desired

Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
