Come work as a Talent Acquisition Associate (Executive & Medical Staff Search) with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
- Support the hiring of internal and external staff, from the initial posting of positions and receiving, reviewing of applications, to the hiring of successful applicants and completion of the applicant process.
- Assist with the generation of regular reports and analysis of recruitment data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and provide insights to the leadership team.
- Communicate with other organizations and agencies when conducting reference checks, verifying professional credentials and conducting criminal record checks.
- Act as a coordinator, providing support for full cycle recruitment.
- Assist with the development and placement of advertisements of vacancies.
- Provide guidance and advice to Managers, Directors, and Medical Staff Leaders regarding recruitment services, posting, and organizational hiring practices.
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects related to recruitment initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of recruitment initiatives and process improvements.
- Liaise with other staff and leaders in Talent Acquisition, Labour Relations, Compensation and Classification, and other departments regarding issues of a non-routine nature and respond to inquiries from managers, employees, and the public regarding the status of posted positions, employment opportunities, application procedures, salary and timekeeping issues and reference requests.
- Skilled computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database programs, e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Visio is required.
- Completion of a recognized diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or related field, supplemented by two (2) years’ recent, related experience in a large and complex organization, or a combination of education, training and experience.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and relevant software applications including online recruitment/human resource systems, and current office software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Exhibits thoroughness and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining, monitoring, calculating and summarizing data, records and other information.
- Applies excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments and schedule activities in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and maintains customer relations.
- Knowledge of human resources practices.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to relay technical information in a manner that can be understood by various audiences.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with staff and public effectively.
