System Network Administrator Jobs

Our IT System/Network Admin is a self-motivated, experienced IT Engineer

This position is a front-line technical role, interacting with clients/customers locally as well as remotely. It requires very solid communications skills, strong troubleshooting skills and problem solving approach, patience, and the ability to ask the right questions that uncover details critical to the resolution of issues. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, analytical, consistent and confident, and calm when under stress. This role requires an advanced understanding of clients, servers, networking and infrastructure setups.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works in close collaboration with help desk support groups and technicians, as well as application and functional experts – and integrates fully all security aspects under the guidance of the LISO
• Responsible for all data backup , operating of BCP/DR, and ability to perform quick, efficient restore if/as needed,
• Update and maintain accurate documentation, records and procedures, as well as local inventory
• Responsible for ensuring performant operating and monitoring of servers and network components supporting all end users and application/solutions under the perimeter
• Maintain communication with Customer/Vendor/Management during the problem resolution process
• Properly document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
• Escalate issues as appropriate, following procedures
• Provide Level-2 problem resolution for supported products and services

·Maintain and support all aspects of IT infra at the site (security, IT rooms, cabling, servers, upgrades, licensing, VoIP, data lines, backups, operating) and all telecom/network topology, best practice and equipment.

·Manage local service providers (contracts, services, licensing, SLA, performance monitoring) for data links/ISP’s, hosting, in a cost-efficient manner.

·Work in very close collaboration with all other IT team members at other sites, under direct supervision of the regional IT Manager, and follows guidance of country/regional/HQ MIS teams.

REQUIRED SKILLSET & COMPETENCIES

Systems:

• Proficiency with all current Windows server operating systems mandatory
• Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Shell scripting, TCP/IP,
• RD
• Windows Server experience
• Linux knowledge is a plus
• Microsoft Office 365 experience
• Proxy Server
• VMware solid experience

Network:

• Strong experience on Firewall, Router and Switch – Fortinet FW/ Dell / Cisco
• Strong understanding of Network concepts such as routing, VLAN’s and subnetting

·WiFi (Aruba) -NPS -Airwave

·VoIP and telephony skills desired

·Centreon

·Pulse Gateway

·LAN – cabling, fiber

·WAN – MPLS, SD-Wan, IPSec tunneling, BGP, Cloud/Express routes

Bachelor degree in Computer Science

Microsoft Windows/VM/Network will as well as Fortinet, Cisco, and other IT vendor certifications desirable.
