Workplace


Our head office being located in Boucherville, on the South Shore of Montreal, we know that some of our employees are concerned by the roadwork being carried out in the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel. That’s why we stood up an in-house advisory committee and implemented new work policies that provide our teams with even more flexibility, no matter where they live. Whether it’s working from home or having flexible hours – when a role requires employees to be physically present at the office –, we are constantly revaluating our practices to provide the best possible work environment to our employees.


Our expectations


Under the IT Telecom & Telephony Chief, the Network system admin is responsible for the support and evolution of the actual network and telecommunications at Rona Inc.


Your role


  • Stay current on networking technologies
  • Place support requests to designated vendors and suppliers;
  • Participate in off hours support rotations
  • Implement Network solutions defined by the senior network team;
  • Apply Deployment strategies;
  • Work with Senior Network administrators
  • Update knowledge base in an incident oriented approach;
  • Update documentation on the solution and integration strategy with other systems;


The Qualifications We Are Looking For


  • We require all our head office associates to be proficient in French, spoken and written.
  • Self learning ability;
  • Able to work outside of regular hours, be on call in rotation with team;
  • 3 years of experience on National WANs based on MPLS
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Cisco networking, VXLAN, BGP, IWAN, SD-WAN
  • ITIL Process experience;
  • Ability to adapts to changes;
  • Good knowledge of MsOffice tools including Visio.
  • Experience with Cloud services is a plus
  • Well-organized;

  • College degree in IT or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Firewalls such as FirePower, Palo Alto or Fortinet
  • Teamwork is a must;
  • Cisco certifications is a plus
  • Work under pressure;
  • Problem resolution abilities;
