• The Embedded Solutions team is seeking a motivated embedded software/firmware driver developer to provide support to our Digital BU located at ADI’s Vancouver site. The ES SW team contributes to the architectural design and development of some of ADI’s most advanced and technically challenging products. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside a very experienced and passionate group of engineers and managers. The ES SW team is a small team capable of great product development!

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Developing bug-free, well documented code on schedule
• Write test procedures and test scripts
• Design Embedded Software and Firmware, Application Examples and a Proof-of-Concept solutions
• Be an active member of the SW team design process
• Contribute to the development of documentation such as Application Notes, Quick Start Guides and User Manuals
• Contribute to the design and implement drivers for bare metal (no OS), RTOSes (freeRTOS/Zephyr) and Linux

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiarity with standard C++ compilers and Integrated Development Environments
• Experience with developing firmware and/or software for embedded products
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
• Good understanding of Operating Systems, Real Time Operating Systems concepts and the use of Linux as an embedded operating system
• Proficient in C and/or C++ programming with best engineering and software development practices
• BS in EE or CS (or related)

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of processor startup code, BSP, board bring up and debugging is a plus
• Understanding of RISC architecture; ARM micro-controller architecture is a plus
• Familiar with basic networking protocols such as IP, TCP/UDP, Ethernet, DHCP, ICMP, etc.
• Candidates graduating in Spring ‘23 are preferred
• The candidate should be familiar with industry standard tools such as Git, vi, gdb, etc...
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other standard lab equipment a plus
• Experience with using Linux as a development environment
• Experience in developing device drivers and software for analog peripherals and communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and Ethernet a plus
