As an Email Marketing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Purolator's Email campaigns and facilitating the creation of landing pages. The job mandates an array of responsibilities, encompassing content creation, list management, segmentation, journey building, reporting, post-campaign analysis, and testing of new approaches for communication. You will report to the Manager of Marketing Operations.


Key Areas Of Responsibility


The role involves overseeing customer communication campaigns across cloud-based platforms, including email and Cloud Pages, and utilizing Journey Builder to deliver multi-touch communications. You will be responsible for analyzing data to identify valuable campaign opportunities, creating client lead lists, and supporting relevant customer acquisition and retention strategies. Additionally, you will be required to:


  • Gather requirements, create content from PSDs, and liaise with business partners from various campaign channels.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to communicate best practices and to create, enhance, and develop effective Journeys.
  • Analyze trends in customer response, acquisition, product migration (upgrade and downgrade movement), investigate root cause factors for customer fatigue and product de-activations, and provide actionable insight for customer retention initiatives and acquisition and win back campaigns.
  • Prepare, test and deploy campaigns utilizing emails, workflows, landing pages, and forms.
  • Participate in other corporate and marketing analysis projects as required.
  • Ability to successfully navigate Salesforce Marketing Cloud export data and generate reports to provide key insights.
  • Prioritize multiple deliverables, adapt to program changes, and deliver within tight timelines.
  • Support Product and Marketing teams by providing reporting and actionable analysis on the performance of marketplace products and solutions.
  • Become familiar with competitor and Purolator products and market/industry data, specifically for online, and understand how it can be used to address business questions.
  • Assistance in designing and building journeys like welcome series, promotions, and reactivation/retention campaigns.
  • Spend significant time on coding and ensuring that all processes are followed, and layouts are correct before the campaign goes out.


Required Skills/Technical Skills


  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in B2B and B2C email marketing, dynamic content building, data segmentation, validation, reporting, and deliverability management.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of HTML5 and CSS 3 to create a responsive email template that adheres to devices, dark modes, browsers, etc.
  • Proficient with programming in JavaScript, experience with API integrations is nice to have.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud standard methodologies and functionality including Email Studio, Content Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Audience Builder.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Email marketing experience, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in SQL programming for the purpose of segmentation and building queries is an asset.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and synthesize data from various sources and present written assessments and recommendations.
  • Basic to intermediate AMPscript experience is a must. (Language specific to marketing cloud)
  • Passion for data analysis and using data to drive change.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a business-related discipline.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
