Clarke Starke & Diegel LLP is a local firm of chartered professional accountants which has been providing audit, accounting and tax advice to individuals, businesses and not for profit organizations in Waterloo Region since 1972.Our attention to detail and customer service enables us to have long lasting relationships with our clients as well as our team members.



Team Member Needed:


We are looking for a new team member.This role involves working closely with partners, clients and other team members on all engagements, primarily review engagements, audit engagements and corporate tax.


We are looking for individuals with the following experience/skills:


  • High level organizational skills to self-manage your own workflow and contribute to the management of workflow of the office;
  • Knowledge working with accounting, tax and document management software such as CaseWare, Doc-it, Taxprep, QuickBooks and Sage
  • Has obtained a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, or is in the process;
  • Strong Canadian tax knowledge, both corporate and personal, to be able to effectively interact with partners and clients on tax compliance and planning for owner managed businesses, high net worth individuals and trusts;
  • Ability to use technology to its potential and identifying ways to better solve client’s business challenges and identify efficiencies within the office;
  • Leadership abilities to lead engagements, with consistent high-quality file preparation, development of analytical and technical skills and communication within the team and with clients.We would also expect the individual to be able to effectively delegate and supervise work where junior team members are involved;
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and staff.
  • Experience in public accounting (preferably 3-6 years);
