Accountant Jobs

Responsibilities:

• Stay up to date with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and process financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights and analysis.
• Identify areas of improvement in accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of streamlined and efficient procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure seamless communication across the organization.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, monthly reports, and year-end documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations in Canada.
• This position does not require a CPA. Enrollment in the
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and present financial data to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
