Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualifiedAccountantto support the daily operations of the finance team. The primary responsibly will be, but not limited to, the complete end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle.

The desired individual will have experience with Intact/Sage Accounting and possess strong organizational and time management skills. They also take initiative, prioritize tasks, and can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will workon-site with the accounting team in Barrie Ontarioand closely with the head office accounting team in Calgary, Alberta

Responsibilities Include:

· Accounts payable cycle not limited to invoicing, data entry, credit card processing, cash receipts posting and EFT Payments.

· Reconcile Vendor accounts.

· Work closely with Sales Team, processing sales quotes.

· Purchase Hardware and SaaS Licenses, issue customer invoices.

· Process Credit card entries and reconcile monthly.

· Process Monthly Microsoft invoices to customers.

· Participate in month end close activities/deadlines.

· Prepare and analyze AP ageing reports.

· Work with internal departments to provide recommendations on collection strategies.

· Cross-train in all accounting functions to provide backup for absences and general assistance when needed.

· Maintain standard SOP’s and develop as required.

· Special projects.

· Provide documentation for interim and year end audits.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience Include:

• Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with Microsoft suite programs (excel, word).
• Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
• Two (2) plus years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Intact/Sage, Concur and/or other ERP experience is an asset.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Accounting degree/diploma, advanced accounting knowledge, three (3) years accounting working experience, strong proficiency in excel and word software, strong keyboard skill set, excellent interpersonal and written skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
