Senior Professional Network Engineer - On-Site In Toronto, On

As a Senior Professional Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operational maintenance support of various VOIP technologies and products in enterprise and healthcare environments.
Responsibilities

• Respond to network outage events with extreme urgency and professionalism
• Resolve Cisco UC Manager 10.x VOIP client business problems through research, installation and customization, network administration, and network management support
• Provide timely and considerate customer service to all personnel within the organization when resolving technical issues
• Troubleshoots issues with telephony systems, including related network resources and software applications
• Candidate should be willing to work after hours, evening, or over the weekend if needed
• Receive escalated calls from users and technicians to resolve major, critical, and complex network software and hardware problems
• Ensure the network and communications infrastructure is maintained within the agreed policy and network device configurations are backed up routinely to minimize downtime risk for the business

Basic Qualifications

• Preferred knowlege of or experience with MGCP protocol
• Must have knowlege of Cisco products and processes including but not limiting to: Unified Communication Manager, UCM and Unity Connection, Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco phones VOIP phone sets, LAN switches and configuration (layer 2 & 3) and WAN routers
• 3-5 years of experience in a related position, such as but not limited to Network Engineer, Database Administrator, Field Technician, etc
• Preferred knowlege of or experience with ITIL
• Preferred knowlege of or experience with T1/E1 PRI and SIP trunking
• Any form of experience/skillset pertaining to project management is a plus
• Preferred knowlege of or experience with Avaya PBX
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
