The opportunity


The position serves as a Senior Manager in the Power & Utilities Digital Grid practice at EY Canada. You will be responsible for leading, designing and implementing Digital Grid Programs, capabilities and solutions incorporating Operational Technology systems such as AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS, resulting in increased value for our clients.


Your Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate actively with subject-matter professionals, product owners, end users and client stakeholders
  • Stay current with industry trends, developments, technologies and new digital grid technology capabilities; actively share these with team members and apply to engagements
  • Lead consulting engagements to solve complex issues in the Power & Utilities industry
  • Focus on continual learning, sharing knowledge and coaching staff
  • Participate in the definition of differentiated solutions to solve problems for our clients
  • Provide strategic and relevant insights on engagements
  • Lead proposals and commercial propositions that align with customer needs and differentiate EY from the competition
  • Communicate and monitor service quality in respect of specific client requirements, and proactively manage engagements for service quality
  • Successfully manage engagements to schedule and budget
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, anticipate client needs and enhance client service delivery

To qualify for the role you must have


  • The willingness and ability to travel
  • The ability to manage complex technical projects with diverse global stakeholders
  • The flexibility to expand horizons and gain competence in multiple digital grid domains
  • Proven work experience in one or more of the following areas: Transmission, Distribution, Generation, Nuclear, Regulatory, and technology solutions such as OMS, ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, GIS
  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience delivering consulting services to Power & Utilities clients
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, independent, and resourceful
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to clearly communicate with leadership and colleagues about technical capabilities, limitations, issues, and recommendations


Ideally, you'll also have


  • A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience delivering consulting services to Power & Utilities clients
  • The ability to work across business and technical teams
