Senior Financial Analyst
Job location: This position is to be hired in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. The position will be remote, unless you live in the Ottawa area in which the position will be hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
About The Team
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide ongoing business support and performance measurement to key stakeholders to meet our objective of maintaining continuous profitable growth. The SFA will focus mainly on supporting our Global Sales group within Kinaxis and will be an exceptional partner and trusted advisor to key stakeholders. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, results driven, a critical thinker, and a proactive team player.
What you will do

• Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for functional groups by collaborating with other key stakeholders and collecting and consolidating data from relevant areas
• Working on ad-hoc FP&A projects as needed to support team members or perform analysis that spans across multiple departments.
• Develop actionable management reporting and dashboards that explain variances against budget and forecasts and identify risk and opportunities.
• Make and implement recommendations to improve processes and evolve our ability to provide answers to recurring and ad-hoc requests (including self-serve reporting)
• Deeply understand the goals of the Sales groups you are supporting; Support their evolving business needs through financial analysis by understanding and modeling key drivers and metrics.
• Help drive standardized KPI reporting that will help automate performance measurement and forecast target achievements.
• Work with functional group stakeholders to support their evolving business needs and accurately
• Work closely with the HR Business Partner team to provide consistent communication of objectives and adjustments to the forecast
• Data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare and present financial data, results and recommendations that are timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant for effective business decision making

What we are looking for

• Highly skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• 3-5 years post-designation experience, preferably with a global company in the technology sector; background in FP&A or experience with Sales operations is an asset
• Post secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field, with a CPA designation or an MBA preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including being able to clearly communicate financial information to business stakeholders, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in financial modeling
• Experience with accounting and financial planning systems, ideally NetSuite and Planful
• Able to manage multiple and ever-changing priorities and working to deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• An entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and customer service attitude
