Senior Field Engineer (Kubernetes)

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Field Engineer, equipped with extensive Kubernetes cluster management experience, to become part of our team. This individual will be tasked with handling sophisticated technical issues on-site, delivering exceptional customer support, and facilitating the smooth functioning of Kubernetes clusters for our clientele. In this pivotal role, you'll be collaborating closely with our sales and customer success teams, working directly with clients to deliver technical solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support, ensuring smooth onboarding of new customers and the successful deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
• Write engaging blog posts and social media content that highlights our platform capabilities and fosters engagement with the right audience.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and insights, focusing on Kubernetes cluster performance and stability.
• Present at conferences, webinars, and other events to showcase our platform and drive awareness.
• Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations and product presentations to customers and at industry events.
• Understand the technical requirements of customers and communicate effectively the benefits and features of the Shakudo platform, providing field support where necessary.
• Work closely with customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction, promptly addressing any technical issues that arise in the field.
• Execute customer deployments and product update rollouts in close collaboration with the engineering team.
• Build strong relationships with customers, serving as their reliable technical advisor and in relation to Kubernetes cluster management.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Kubernetes, cloud computing, and data tooling.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, and demos to educate our user community on Kubernetes and related technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
• Desired years of experience: 5+ with significant experience in managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in Python and strong background in data engineering, distributed computing, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Proven track record of creating engaging blog posts and social media content for technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Experience in creating documentation and content for technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to travel to client locations as needed.
• Robust technical background in cloud infrastructure technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Apache Spark, Airflow, and particularly Kubernetes.
