SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

As the Systems Administrator, you will maintain and improve the network infrastructure that all internal systems operate on, primarily in a Microsoft environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Introduce software upgrades to internal systems
* Assist with long-term technology planning
* Manage VMWare and Hyper-V Virtualization infrastructure
* Monitor systems, networks, and backups
* Maintain documentation of all infrastructure according to policy
* Help decide which systems are moved to the cloud and which stay on-site
* Support technology planning research and meetings
* Troubleshoot issues with the Tier II Support team
QUALITIES THAT OUR CLIENT WOULD CONSIDER:
* Post-secondary education in an IT-related discipline
* 5+ years of experience in a traditional infrastructure-administration role
* Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent combination of experience
* Thorough knowledge of network security and experience with Fortinet hardware
ADDITIONALS ASSETS:
* History using Python (or other scripts such as Perl and Shell) To automate tasks
* Help desk experience
