Job Description
  • Assist with firm quality control processes as it relates to QA review for compilation/accounting department
  • Provide guidance to compliance group on firm standards and assist with firm quality assurance
  • Oversee and manage audits of our clients from planning to completion and ensure client service excellence
  • Apply the audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements
  • Perform analysis of complex accounting issues
  • Perform financial and systems analysis
  • Keep abreast of accounting trends and legislation
  • Manage concurrent assignments


Requirements


  • Experience with CaseWare is considered an asset
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the client’s business to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities and take initiative to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • 2-3 years of experience within the Public Accounting industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience using the various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO and/or Public Sector)
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving and meticulous attention to detail
