As a Senior Application System Analyst with Sobeys, you will:

Description

Looking for a Senior ASA Fluent in ECC SAP with knowledge of SAP S4. The position entails working on projects relating to SAP as well as enhancements and day to day support. Gathering requirements playing them back and working to implement requirements will drive many of your day to day activities. The candidate selected will help lead projects and grow their understanding of the business and SAP in a retail environment, focused around Finance requirements. The position includes working with Finance users from all areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assets, Central Finance, Profit center accounting , Reporting and more.

You will work in a retail paced environment where varying sizes of projects and enhancements will keep you engaged and learning while you help gather and implement and support detailed requirements.

• Identify opportunities to automate processes, or otherwise innovate on business operations using application features.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through advisory and consultative support. Proactively share new leading practices.
• Work with the Product team and Business Partners to lead the development and ongoing refinement of the overall Product Strategy and Roadmap.
• The position includes working with Finance users from all areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assets, Central Finance, Profit center accounting , Reporting and more.
• Observe and communicate potential application risks and improvements in support of effective issue prevention and risk mitigation
• Work with the Developers and Testers to ensure compliance to the organizational quality standards for new or enhanced products or services throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Lead each phase of the development life cycle: Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), design, build, testing, deployment and release. Design the applications to ensure both the business and architectural needs are met including adhering to standards, patterns, and reference models.
• Monitor applications and their components across dimensions such as end-user experience, application interfaces, runtime code exceptions and performance. Recommend enhancements as needed.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the application(s) within the Product Team Portfolio. Maintain up-to-date expertise in the application(s) and mentor and lead the team(s) in translating product needs into enhancements and or fixes for the supported application.

Job Requirements

Your Experience And Resume Will Show Us

• Experience in working with outsourced service providers and vendor management.
• 5+ years progressive experience in IT or Product Development.
• Technical and functional knowledge of Finance and Financial areas such as AP, AR, Banking.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of various areas of the Finance with experience in SAP FICO preferred.
• Retail industry experience preferred.
