Application Test Analyst - Remote

Our Edmonton government client is looking for a Test Analyst for a 12-month contract. The position will be 100% remote for the full duration of the contract. although the resource must perform all work duties within Alberta. The resource will participate in testing needs identified within contact centre program. This includes CX-One and associated tools and ServiceNow technologies.

This position will be fully remote but the client requires the resource to perform all work within Alberta borders.
Responsibilities

• Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
• Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
• Gather and manage the test data.
• Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
• Set up and execute the tests.
• Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution.
• Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.
• Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
• Log outcomes and verify test execution.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools.
• Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
• Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
• Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
• Implement individual tests.
• Analyze and recover from execution errors.

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:

• 8 years of experience writing test cases from use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents.
• 8 years of experience and understanding of Software QA, Testing and Defect Lifecycle.
• ServiceNow Administration certification and 6 years of experience as an administrator.
• 6 years of experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications.
• 8 years of experience preparing or supporting the preparation of test plans and test cases.
• 6 years of experience with user acceptance testing including the creation of user acceptance plans, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks.

Desired Requirements:

• Working knowledge of the ServiceNow Agile Test Management module
• 6 years of experience in identifying testing issues and implementing improved processes and resolutions.
• 6 years of experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
• 1 year of experience implementing automated testing methods
• 1 year of experience with Contact centre scenario planning
• 4 years of experience testing in both web and mobile environments.
• 4 years of experience working with Business & Application Maintenance representatives to analyze issues reported by (or in) production.
• 2 years of experience working within Agile methodology.
