A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Operates and maintains sandblasting equipment
• Moves fabricated materials to designated areas
• Performs daily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Complies with standards and procedures of the PTW health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulation
• Sandblast structural steel
• Performs rigging techniques as per industry standards
• Cleans and prepares skids and material for painting
• Cleans skids/material for shipping
• Operates forklift and overhead cranes to transfer skids and packages throughout shop
• Ensures housekeeping is completed daily in assigned area
• Inspects final product, ensuring conformance to specifications

Experience Requirements

• Overhead Crane certification is an asset
• Valid Forklift Certification is an asset
• Previous experience with rigging and operating overhead cranes
• Minimum 2 years sandblasting in an industrial capacity

Other Requirements

• Must have CSA approved safety boots
• Must have own transportation
