As a member of the sales team, you will manage sales from a market comprised of groups requiring overnight lodging, meeting facilities, food and beverage, and year-round recreation products. Responsible for maintaining existing sales and uncovering new business you will manage incoming inquiries and initiate sales missions. In this role, the successful candidate will effectively negotiate lodging, meeting space, food & beverage, and recreational ticket sales. As a member of the sales team, the individual is required to modify their presentation to address the group while achieving business requirements.


The Manager will be responsible for their personal sales within the corporate market segment. Sales success will depend on self-initiative, the preparation of timely group specific quotations and sales reports/forecasts.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?


  • Attending events to promote corporate sales including industry trade shows and events.
  • Preparing and delivering sale/promotional materials (i.e. Proposals/Contracts)
  • Initiating and leading resort-wide familiarization and site inspections.
  • Developing and Executing sales initiatives to generate business
  • Developing proposals based on availability, pricing grids, etc.
  • Selling Overnight Group Bookings: tracing of historical repeat/return business (day and overnight), responding to inquiries, following-up on existing sales files and maintaining accurate files
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with corporate clients as well as Resort Associates.
  • Tracing historical business and initiating cold calls.

  • Computer Proficient: i.e.) daily use of Delphi, and Microsoft Office
  • Active or past involvement within industry related organizations
  • Position will require flexibility to work a varied schedule
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert through willingness to participate in resort attractions
  • Excellent sales and communication skills – phone & written
  • Strong selling record that reflects the attainment of growth of sales goals
