Job Description

Hays has partnered with a new home builder who focuses on building luxury townhomes in and around Calgary. Founded just two years ago by two visionary leaders with more than 35 years’ experience in the building supplies industry, the company is dedicated to creating and selling exquisite townhomes that redefine modern living. After successfully selling out their first development, they are now about to launch a new larger development in a prime Calgary location and are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to lead this and future projects.


Responsibilities

As the Sales and Marketing Manager, your main priority will be to sell the townhomes by effectively showcasing the properties to potential buyers, negotiating offers, ensuring a seamless process from initial contact to customer move-in, and managing the showroom team. You will also be responsible for conducting market research and developing effective sales and marketing strategies.


Sales Management:

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to customer move-in.
  • Manage the sales team in the showhome, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success in closing sales.
  • Showcase and present the properties to potential buyers, highlighting their unique features and benefits.
  • Negotiate offers and contract terms with potential buyers to secure successful transactions.


Market Research:

  • Utilize market research findings to develop effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to determine competitive pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and identify unique selling points for our properties.


Marketing:

  • Prepare compelling content for brochures, website updates, and social media platforms to effectively market the properties.
  • Coordinate with the marketing agency to ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with an external marketing agency for design and other technical aspects, while ensuring high-quality content writing.
  • Stay updated on current marketing trends and utilize innovative approaches to attract potential buyers.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing skills to create persuasive marketing content.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with potential buyers effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ sales experience in the new home building industry
  • Proficiency in conducting market research and analyzing data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • The ability and desire to lead and motivate a small sales team.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in marketing.


Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, plus a generous performance related quarterly bonus. You will also qualify for a health and dental benefits plan.
