Job Description
Adecco is looking for a group of passionate telephone agents for a 6-9-week contract with possibility for extension. You will help us contact voters across Canada in preparation for upcoming election campaigns. We'll be calling into numerous battleground ridings on behalf of high-profile, social democratic candidates. This work will have a major impact on the outcome of these campaigns, the success of which is vital to the social democratic movement across Canada. As a member of the Voter Contact Team, you will work from home while connected to our shared, Internet-based calling application.
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $17/hour
Scheduling: Monday to Friday - Flexible
Job Type: Temporary - Part-time

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts call according to requirements of programs: e.g., for polling or voter id, reads script verbatim
  • Makes or receives fundraising, polling, voter id and other types of calls utilizing Noble / Composer on behalf of clients as assigned and according to instruction / script per the assignment.
  • Updates lists (addresses, phone numbers and other corrections) according to program requirements. Particular attention is given to the capture of cellphone information.
  • Reports problem calls to manager or designate as appropriate
  • Represents Strategic Communications and clients in a professional manner
  • Schedules and follows up on personal callbacks as appropriate (e.g. callback of donors is appropriate when donors have agreed to make a donation but not yet given the specifics of the donation: must have actually contacted the donor and made pitch)
  • Complies to scripted approach ensuring all key elements are covered.
  • Hears concerns, questions and complaints made by donors and takes appropriate steps to address them politely and professionally
  • Accurately records the outcome of each call using Composer, Client Portals etc.
  • Must regularly achieve results in line with the expectations for the programs
  • Provides record of results for each shift
Qualifications:
  • Passionate and outgoing personality; a desire to learn as part of a team and share tips and best practices with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must have your own laptop or computer, and a strong internet connection
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy demonstrated in a highly consistent manner.
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian Politics
  • Customer Relationship Management experience is an asset
  • Previous experience in a Call Centre role
