The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Duties / Expectations

• Provides Quality leadership, representation, mentorship, and direction to all staff.
• In collaboration with the GM Operations and leadership develops and publishes feed, product, and waste product specifications.
• Develops, implements, and reports quality specific KPI’s.
• Collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and other relevant teams to provide consistent quality controls and oversight.
• In collaboration with the team, develops the QA audit schedule and undertakes internal and external audits as indicated.
• Develops, implements, and maintains an Arbios Quality Management System.
• Ensures Arbios is compliant with all regulatory bodies and is the point of contact for audits and site visits.
• Develops, implements, and maintains necessary QC and lab testing protocols across the entire facility.
• Implements and manages an effective NCR, root cause analysis and CAPA process for all quality issues.

Education

• Degree (Engineering, chemistry, environmental science) or graduate of a high level, applicable technical diploma program.
• Quality designation is an asset.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in Oil and Gas or chemicals manufacturing
• In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS requirements and associated codes (e.g., CSA, CWB, ISO, ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, AWS, NACE), standards and regulation as well as government regulatory bodies overseeing energy industry activities in Canada.
