We are looking to hire a Public Relations Assistant for our team with the following job description:

  • Maintaining media lists and databases
  • Tracking media coverage and analyzing its impact
  • Researching and writing articles and other content for the organization's website and other online platforms
  • Outreach and securing placements for clients via Muck Rack.
  • Manage our writers and editors for the respective clients and ensure deadlines are hit.
  • Weekly meetings with the other press managers and writers.
  • Communicating with the team daily (Monday - Friday) for updates and changes to client press packages.
  • Assisting in the development of press releases and other materials.
  • Report to the Publicists for KPIs of clients, problem-solving clients/internal problems, and improving systems.
  • Coordinating media interviews and press events
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of events, including press interviews.


The skills that we are looking for someone for this position are the following:

  • NOTE: We are looking for solo workers to apply for this position, and no businesses, please
  • Experience with North American Media (Publications, Magazines, Newspapers, TV etc.)
  • Management experience
  • Experience with public relations and earned media
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with working directly with high-level clients before (Video one-on-one interviews, client communication, client satisfaction, etc.)
  • High-level pitch writing and building media lists
  • Good with taking direction
  • Self-accountable
  • Quick learner
  • High-level writing skills and experience with writing/editing
  • Enthusiastic
  • Extremely organized
  • Experience with Muck Rack or Meltwater
