Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Project Schedule Controller to join our team. This position will be responsible to provide all planning and scheduling support and oversight to all current EPC projects, including administration support to both office and field personnel..

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with subcontractors and vendors in developing schedules for all activities, including procurement, and dealing with change
• Work with project team, subcontractors, and vendors, to identify any critical areas for improvement in delivery schedule of KPIs and diligently pursue all opportunities for improvement
• Advise areas of concern and take a pro-active role in implementation of necessary actions
• Plan, execute and follow up QA activities related to planning and scheduling discipline
• Support the development of project controls activities, as required (i.e., cost reports and lessons learned, changes, etc.)
• Collect and record planning, scheduling, progress and work-hour information required for inclusion in various project reports
• Inform and interface with the project team on all planning related matters, such as progress figures, histograms, critical tasks, etc., on a regular basis
• Develop and maintain progress measurement tools and histograms based on schedule activities and weightings that reflect planned and actual earned progress
• Prepare schedule trends in accordance with project procedures
• Maintain and develop procedures and documents relevant to planning & scheduling
• Develop and breakdown the project plan into relevant details including subcontractors and vendors and ensure the break down meets all contract requirements, minimum Level 4
• Assist management with various tasks such as preparing material for internal/external presentations and any Ad-hoc schedules required
• Review, analysis and verify schedule and progress information received from the project team, Subcontractors and Vendors and provide advice and guidance whenever necessary
• Provide synopsis of schedule and progress status plus input to regular project reports
• Conduct regular critical path analysis and summaries areas of concern and remedial actions required

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Project Planner is required, as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat are essential. Fluency in English is required.
• Personal attributes and behaviours essential for this role include being a self-starter, highly motivated, adaptable, proactive, dedicated team player, highly organized, capable of working with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbal), possess the ability to conduct effective training in front of an audience, follow-up, capable of working each task to the appropriate level of detail, coachable, approachable, and a team player.

Education and Experience:

• The preferred candidate should hold a fully accredited, university or college degree in a relevant / related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in planning/scheduling; experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
