We are 40 strong with most of our talent residing in Canada and Germany. Reporting to the President your key areas of focus will be to:

• Prepare SRED and other government grant applications.
• Manage all aspects of general accounting functions including accounts payable, receivables, collections, payroll, bank reconciliations and group benefits programs as well as fixed asset inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including the preparation of all government remittances.
• Provide leadership to management with respect to business planning, budgeting and forecasting, and develop sound business models that enhance management’s ability to make sound business decisions to meet its longer-term growth objectives.
• Manage year-end financial audit process with external auditor.
• Provide hands-on guidance and management to 2 reporting staff.
• Assume cash management responsibilities including forecasting, liaising with financial institutions, suppliers and clients.
• Develop and implement appropriate accounting and financial reporting systems and processes to support timely and accurate decision making.

Here’s the profile of our “best fit” candidate

• A confident professional who will command the respect of others and who is able to communicate and interact in a highly professional manner with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SAP B1 or similar ERP is essential.
• Management experience in a small to mid-size manufacturing environment is highly preferably.
• Experience working with foreign currencies.
• A “hands on” accounting professional in the final stages of a CPA designation,
• A high-energy self- starter with a sense of urgency in initiating and implementing best practices.
