Your Role


As an Project Manager - Field Inspections with the Alberta business unit you will join our team of experts who lead infrastructure projects. Working with communities that include Medicine Hat and many others across Alberta, our team is part of bringing meaningful change by assisting communities gain access to the necessary amenities where people live – from roads, sewers, utilities, water services, and fostering opportunities for economic participation and environmental stewardship.


Responsibilities


  • Lead your project teams with your ability to manage change, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Use your technical expertise in project planning, design and construction to resolve complex project challenges.
  • Understand and represent your clients’ best interests regarding project outcomes.
  • Your clients will trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their community or organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients and respond to new business opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President.
  • Consult directly with clients, stakeholders, and construction professionals to plan roads, excavations, shallow utilities and storm sewer projects.


Qualifications


  • The ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Resolve client, project and technical challenges
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in project coordination and field inspections
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of surveying and GIS mapping
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, engineering technology, or an equivalent academic experience
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience in public sector projects
