About This Team
The Initiatives team within Store Development, supports the intake, budgeting, tracking, communication, execution, and reconciliation of all initiative & reinvestment requests that require construction support in brick & mortar spaces. The team delivers against the annual capital plan to support the existing store fleet through minor works, initiatives, reinvestment requests, and rollouts -- occasionally supporting on new concept rollouts into NSOs and optimizations of mainline stores.
a day in the life
This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of both large and small-scale capital construction projects, minor works, and/or strategic initiative projects and full-scale programs from development to execution, with a continued focus on process improvement and level-setting within the entire initiatives team.
The Project Lead collaborates with many internal cross functional partners to understand their project intent, support with the development of the concept, request required resources, and provide ongoing estimating. A continuous improvement mind-set is applied to find and implement efficiency improvements on the entire portfolio of projects in this channel.
The Project Lead creates and manages the execution projects, including ongoing project reporting for leadership, and supports on visibility of all projects in the initiatives channel by implementing and managing tools that support in tracking, and visibility to Leadership and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
  • Continuous improvement mindset, to improve both self, team, and our extended partner network.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SharePoint.
  • Practiced in development processes, procurement, vendor management, client relations.
  • Minimum 4-year college level degree and 5 years of project coordination, within retail and/or commercial development, with a demonstrated ability to lead small-scale construction projects independently and/or program management (initiative rollout to store fleet) or a combination of equivalent experience.
  • Must be versatile and able to manage multiple projects in various stages at any once time in the life cycle of a project.
