Job Description
Adecco is seeking an experienced and skilled Project coordinator with High Rise projects experience. Our client is a leading real estate development firm specializing in high-rise projects in Toronto. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they aim to create iconic structures that enhance the city's skyline. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of their high-rise projects.


Position Overview: As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in assisting the project management team in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of our high-rise projects in Toronto. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities:


  • Permitting and Compliance: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for high-rise projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and updates. Ensure timely dissemination of information.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and track the availability of project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials. Assist in procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Change Management: Assist in evaluating and managing project changes, including assessing impacts on cost, schedule, and quality. Facilitate change order processes and maintain accurate change order logs.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and track project risks throughout the project lifecycle and escalate critical issues to the project management team.
  • Project Coordination: Assist the project management team in coordinating and overseeing all phases of high-rise projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any deviations or deficiencies promptly.
  • Health and Safety: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the project site. Monitor compliance with safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all project participants.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, progress reports, and change orders. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:


  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to assist others and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently, and provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and building codes/regulations relevant to high-rise projects in Toronto.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing project
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or a similar role in high-rise construction projects in Toronto.
