Our client offers a wide range of services to meet client needs around Northern Ontario. Whether it be transportation of ore, complex loads and food, rail services, crushing and screening, road construction and maintenance, pipe fusing, waste disposal, spill remediation, or aerial surveying, they can help with any task, large or small. Their Timmins division is seeking a Project Controls to join their team.
Reporting to the Construction Management team, the Project Controls will be successful in our client’s dynamic environment if they are highly organized and detail-oriented, in addition to being capable of working collaboratively with other departments. The successful candidate will possess superior verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and will have the ability to prioritize and work within deadlines with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, prepare, and record all billable activity within month-end time constraints.
- Delegate and manage office personnel duties and responsibilities.
- Complete any client requested insurance and other related documents.
- Set up new billing information and projects in the system according to contracts documents.
- Successfully resolve all billing-related client requests and inquiries.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in-person.
- Obtain management sign-off on all billable activities.
- Prepare and organize documentation necessary to issue invoices.
- Participate in project startup, kick off, and progress.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and expertise in using payment processing systems / customer billing and payment portals.
- 2-5 years of experience in a departmental role with project administration and accounting experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work within deadlines.
- Ability to speak and work with upper management.
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, or business administration, or engineering related study.
- Experience in the industrial/mining industry is an asset.
- Ability to be self-sufficient and make day to day decisions about accounts.
- Proficient in MS Excel and good understanding of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
