Key Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of the Supervisor in the Supervisor’s absence.

• Perform daily checks that all pre-production safety, quality and productivity checks are completed by Team Members.
• Make work assignment adjustments based on absenteeism, training, etc.
• Begin preparing safety, quality and productivity communication information for next shift.
• Review of previous shift information regarding safety, quality, and productivity issues.
• Walk the production area to confirm 5S, equipment readiness, and material supply conditions are to standard.
• Assist as necessary to fill in temporarily for Team Members that are absent or need to leave the line (ex. bathroom break, etc.).
• Perform the start of shift activities of;
• Must be available in the production area at all times to be able to respond immediately to Team Members call for help (Andon) with the main goal of assisting the Team Member overcome the problem to preserve output for the customer.

• Ensure standards are adhered to for the proper location and storage of all tools and equipment and the general housekeeping of the work area at end of shift.
• Work with manufacturing engineer to develop and implement work cell layout s, training with regards to work instructions, control cards/plans, quality and safety procedures, etc., and continuous improvement of Team Member Standardized Work for all processes in their respective area.
• Ensure that production targets are achieved while ensuring FIFO and quality standards are met by reviews hour-by-hour performance at the work station hourly at a minimum and take action to solve problems that impact performance, report out first hour performance to the Supervisor along with any issues that will prevent the Team from reaching their goal .
• Facilitate 5S and conduct daily audits. Initiate corrective actions as required for any non-conformance.
• Observes each Team Member once per week (once every 2nd week for cycle times over 2 minutes, which includes long cycle work) performing standardized work to ensure it is being performed correctly, immediately addresses abnormalities and documents the results.
• Participated in continuous improvement activities outside their current location of responsibility to improve their capability.

• All locations must be counted – WIP, FG.
• Lead and provide guidance to operators to achieve Company’s objectives in a fair manner while ensuring safety, quality and cost standards are met.
• Print from Tran4M the count sheet prior to counting.
• Review all suspect/scrap material and work with support departments to implement corrective actions.
• Area organized, labeled – 3S level.
• Rollstamp Cycle Count Rules.
• Prepare and ensure that shift production reporting is recorded accurately and on time into the Trans4M and Blackhawk system.
• All adjustments required must be done immediately – CCAS.
• Parts being counted must not be running.
• Supervisors / Team Leaders are the champions.
• Assist as necessary to ensure that First Off’s are completed on time.

• Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
• Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures .
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or designatded..
• Use the forklift as required.
• Any other reasonable request made by Management.
• Foster a positive working environment with Operators, Peers, Supervisors and all other internal support departments.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.
• Ensure employees commence their shifts in a timely manner and after breaks.
• Comply with Section 28 of the OHSA.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency of basic industrial math, reading comprehension.
• College or University graduate requirement.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience in an automotive environment. With previous leadership experience.
• Strong leadership skills are a must with the ability to make sound decisions.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken).
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment with the ability to treat everyone fairly.
• Strong ability to train others.
