Production Operator – Fabrication (Tube Cell)

As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Production Operator – Fabrication (Tube Cell) to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry.

SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Supervisor of the department. The incumbent ensures both the correct set up and operation of their own equipment including the organization of tooling requirements to meet production demands within the Fabrication department.

This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.

The pay rate is $21.83

Shifts may vary

Shift Premium where applicable

We have a Day shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) and an Afternoon shift (3:15 pm - 11:45 pm) available

ROLE:

• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
• Performs the set up and tear down of Fabrication equipment.
• Conducts required quality checks to ensure product is in compliance and in specification
• Performs equipment operational checks and does basic troubleshooting
• Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies
• Documents and records all necessary information/data as per work cards and other company requirements
• Operates Fabrication equipment to meet production demands.
• Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up and 5 S requirements
• Notifies the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Good interpersonal and communicative skills
• Good mathematical skills
• Manual dexterity – ability to use common tools

REQUIREMENTS:

• Performs the set up and tear down of Fabrication equipment.
