Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Analyst. To succeed in this role, you must have in-depth working knowledge of Linux, Python Automation Scirpting, XCode, and Android Studio to name a few. With scripting language experience and code versioning tools. You have experience in both manual and automation methodologies and practices. Strong communication skills are key for this role! You will be reporting to the Product QA Lead, and working closely with a team of talented engineers, developers, and designers.

Our ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, the ability to test products according to design requirements with a keen eye for details and the ability to spot issues that others may miss. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and excel at managing multiple projects at once. You are a strong team player with a thirst for learning, a collaborative spirit, and a positive can-do attitude!

What You’ll Do

The core responsibilities for this role revolves around all aspects of testing Nanoleaf’s prototype and production hardware and software products.

Responsibilities:

• Product usability testing
• Reproducing customer issues for products in production
• Test case automation and test harness development
• Interfacing with the technical development team
• Contributing to product UX through test case generation during design and development
• Leading test design, test execution, and automation development

Requirements:

• Experience testing in Embedded, Web and Mobile applications
• Good experience in API testing and UI testing
• Solid communication skills
• Test Automation Scripting / Execution / Framework Development
• Strong application debugging skills
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and practices
• Working experience Automation Tools for Embedded Software Systems.
• 3+ years of experience with software quality assurance
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
• Degree or Diploma in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Creative problem solving, quality awareness and driven to have an impact at Nanoleaf
• Experience with a scripting language, Python, Java, Bash, C and C++
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines

This role will require you to work collaboratively in the office (Toronto HQ) once or twice a week

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Linux systems
• Experience in QA within pre-production projects and prototyping phases
• Familiarity with IoT, Networking
