We’re looking for our next Product Analyst, Investments. Could It Be You?

The Product Analyst for the Investing Product team is responsible for analyzing and reporting on customer behavior, product performance, and market trends. They work with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and translate complex data into meaningful insights and stories to support the investment product team's initiatives. The role contributes to the growth and success of Questrade's Investing products.

What’s it like working as a Product Analyst, Investments at Questrade?

The Product Analyst, Investments will leverage data analysis and reporting skills to support product-driven initiatives for the Investing Product team. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Product Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth competitive analysis, gathering business requirements, and providing input and direction to marketing teams. The Product Analyst will also assist with market research, compliance audit support, and ongoing competitive intelligence.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals and requirements
• Product Requirements Gathering
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the Investing Product team
• Create and maintain product dashboards to track key metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Competitive Analysis and Market Research
• Ensure that the various scrum teams understand the product requirements and provide support during the development and testing phases
• Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities
• Data Visualization and Storytelling
• Build and maintain visualizations that help stakeholders understand key metrics and trends
• Stay up-to-date on industry news and trends to inform product strategy and development
• Translate data and analysis into clear and compelling stories that support the investing product team's goals
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on product initiatives and performance
• Support the Investing Product team in documenting clearly defined requirements for product initiatives
• Collaboration and Communication
• Build and maintain reports on product performance to inform business decision-making

✔ Have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business

✔ Have strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate a wide variety of data using SQL and/or other appropriate tools

✔ Have expertise in Reporting, Visualization, and Analytics using tools such as MS Power BI, SAS, Julia, R, Python

✔ Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights

✔ Are a self-starter with a high energy and desire to work in a results-oriented, fast-growing environment

✔ Have basic working knowledge of and interest in the self-directed investment industry

✔ Have knowledge of equity, ETF and options trading
