We are seeking a Procurement/Contracts Coordinator to oversee our procurement and contracting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the procurement and contracting process, including sourcing, negotiation, and execution of contracts, as well as monitoring supplier performance and compliance.
Note: This position is in Port Hope
Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships
  • Work closely with legal counsel to ensure that contracts are compliant with legal requirements and company policies
  • Continuously seek ways to improve procurement processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement and contracting activities, including contract documents and supplier information
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that they comply with contract terms and conditions
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services
  • Manage the contract execution process, including preparing and reviewing contracts, obtaining necessary approvals, and tracking contract status
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement and contract management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management
