Procurement Specialist (Medical Leave Coverage)

Option for full time in office or 4 days in and 1 remote

• $35 to $50 per hour

Raise Workforce is working in partnership with the leading provider of camp and hospitality services for remote worksites throughout North America. They are seeking a Procurement Specialist that will be responsible for working closely with key suppliers to ensure internal customers are receiving the products and services as per the agreements and ensuring the procurement services are delivered as per all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Primary regions will be in Alberta and Northern British Columbia. You will be working with a variety of Hospitality Vendors to ensure all of the remote sites assigned to you have the required supplies on hand. All work will be done from their Calgary office, with the option to work from home 1 day per week.

What You Will Be Doing...

• Facilitates meetings with suppliers and internal customers to resolve problems.
• Conducts appropriate reviews with internal customers to monitor contract compliance, business alignment and to encourage purchasing from company wide contracts.
• Acts as the first escalation point if internal customers experience problems with any Supply Chain processes/systems.
• Key liaison between assigned internal customers and the supply chain function, representing the interests of assigned internal clients.
• Administers key material and/or services contracts.
• Works collaboratively with the Strategic Sourcing group to identify competitive goods, suppliers and other cost savings opportunities.
• Ensures purchase orders are approved within delegated purchasing approval limits.
• Reviews goods and services requests (typically Purchase Requisitions or PRs) with internal customers and provides procurement services, including obtaining price and delivery information.
• Issue purchase orders in accordance with ATCO policy to ensure completeness and that appropriate terms and conditions are in place, mitigating risk to ATCO.
• Consults with Supervisor, and legal counsel where appropriate, regarding purchase order/contract terms and conditions.
• Engages with internal customers to ensure understanding and shared compliance of ATCO Procurement policies.
• Conduct all procurement transactions in an ethical and legal manner.

• Proficient with Oracle Cloud or similar Enterprise Systems

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain/Procurement required
• Computer literacy (data organization/analysis)

• Analytical and spend analysis skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proven negotiation abilities
