Our company Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to Fortune 100 & 500 IT/Telco companies across Canada and the US.

We are currently helping our large, global telco client, who has pioneered O-RAN technology, build up their telco solutions team in Canada.

They are currently looking to bring on a Principle RF Engineer - Network Planning & Optimisation to work on solutions for Canada's top telco carriers such as TELUS and others.

Role :Principle RF Engineer - Network Planning & Optimisation (remote)

Location : Mississauga, ON (onsite)

To be part of an organization in RF Planning and Optimization to support the service delivery for

different field deployments and customers and develop a strong RF delivery organization to cater to the needs of existing as well as upcoming projects.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Excel in a team of RF technical delivery engineers to provide on-site/remote service delivery.
• Provide technical RCA to the customer.
• Plan and forecast resources based on upcoming activities.
• Utilizing automation to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of team members.
• Provide technical guidance to team members on critical issues.
• Work closely with project managers to handle escalations in customer projects.
• Develop a strong RF delivery organization to cater to the needs of existing as well as upcoming projects.
• Collaborate with QA/Level 3 support functions for issues related to customer projects.
• Collaborate with different functions to ensure the delivery of the relevant customer solution within SLAs.
• Detailed analysis of UE & eNB/gNB logs. Follow up with remote engineering & Level 3 support teams for the issue resolution.
• Analysis of network KPI performance indicators
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and competence development across the organization.
• Manage delivery of assigned responsibilities within the allocated budget.
• RF network performance optimization covering field & KPI optimization using parameter tuning.
• Work closely with Tier1/Tier2/Tier3 teams for performance-related issues through ticketing and follow-up.
• Executive level interaction/messaging on planning & execution of POC /FOA/ delivery of 4G (LTE-A)/5G networks
• Troubleshooting of RF & software/hardware-related issues affecting performance KPIs like accessibility, mobility, throughput, etc.

KEY INTERFACES FOR ROLE:

• Directors of Services functions within the Global Delivery Team.Partner management teams
• Sales and Pre-Sales organization.
• Customer Success Managers and Customer Delivery Teams - including engineering teams.
• Business Unit Product Line Management teams (Intelligent Operations, Network Functions, Unified Cloud)

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Drive team's Contributions towards Knowledge sharing & Documentation - Solution document, HLD, LLD, MOP, Troubleshooting Guide, RCA, etc
• Drive the team to perform high-quality delivery ensuring adherence to SLA/WLA/OLA and achieving a high customer acceptance
• Facilitate team members to contribute towards identifying Automation Opportunity Leveraging existing tools to improve the delivery quality & Best practices Implementation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record in managing teams and delivering projects.
• An energetic and dynamic person who can produce desired results.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in RF Planning and Optimization.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate across the organization
• Strong presentation and documentation skills, including the ability to drive and develop these skills within the team.
• Prior experience working on TELUS RF network
• Experience in customer management and care to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Planning & Optimization for LTE/VOLTE/5G networks.
• Understanding of 4G/5G RAN technology & deployment models, call flows, and KPIs
• Experience working with Huawei & Samsung equipment
